How and why do we discriminate?

At last Friday’s research seminar Katrin Ausprung from the Department of History and Sociology at Konstanz University in Germany came to talk to us about her reserach on discrimination in housing markets in Germany.

The seminar host David Sumpter reflected on how we discriminate as individuals and how mathematic modelling can help us understand the effects that individual discrimination has on society.
