I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies. I do research and project coordination for Transformative Partnerships 2030, a research project based at the Institute that focuses on effectiveness, legitimacy, and goal synergies in multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable development. My research interests are situated primarily at the nexus of human rights and global economic governance. Most of my work to date has concerned the transnational regulation of corporations on human rights issues. In my PhD thesis, I studied "early adopters" of National Action Plans for implementing the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Previously, I published several articles on the politics of developing these Guiding Principles and corporate implementation of them. I am also interested in broader issues of sustainable development, public vs. private governance, international norm diffusion, and global political economy. In addition, I regularly comment on US politics and foreign policy in Swedish media.
Prior to pursuing an academic career, I worked as an environmental, social and governance research analyst in Boston, Massachusetts. I hold a PhD in Political Science from Stockholm University, an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics, and a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
