I am a researcher at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University and at the Institute for Futures Studies. I am also part of the Urban Lab network hosted by the Institute for Housing and Urban Research at Uppsala University.
I hold a PhD in Economic Geography from the London School of Economics. My research interest is in applied urban and regional economics, with an emphasis on the role of social interactions in determining the economic outcomes of people and places. It covers aspects such as inequalities between places or demographic groups, segregation and integration processes, access to information or knowledge, education, innovation, and regional development dynamics. Visit my personal research page for more information.
Outside of academia, I consulted in various capacities for the public sector, conducting studies and evaluations, notably in the area of EU regional policy.
